Budweiser & Google: Super Bowl Ad 2024

Budweiser | Super Bowl LVIII Old School Delivery   Javier in Frame | Google Pixel SB Commercial 2024   For my blog post this week I was really stuck between well a lot of Superbowl Ads, cause I like a lot of them this year, but especially the two listed above so I’ve decided to write about both of them.  In the Budweiser ad, I like how the company chose to tie itself to its original roots and use that to connect with the consumer. I think it uses the very relatable problem of a power outage and a snowstorm, something we especially know well here in New England, and adds a lot of depth to their commercial. I also like the way they chose to show perseverance and unity in people from different backgrounds connecting, like the bartender and the farmer. I think this a really inspirational message that will get consumers and even non-consumers thinking positively about their company, making consumers and possible consumers see Budweiser as more than just a beer company b...

Super Bowl Ad: The Servant Christian Foundation: “Love Your Enemies”

The Servant Christian Foundation: “Love Your Enemies” The Servant Christian Foundation ads and “He Gets Us” or  “He Gets Us, All Of Us” campaign are commercials that always strike a chord with me. I like how they present religion, especially Jesus, in a way that is relatable to people today. Particularly with this ad, it really touches on the countries boiling overly political ways and how they’re becoming so much for society. I like the way they show how society has been like wild animals, not thinking before they act and only thinking mostly of themselves and their beliefs, not even considering the other person and their beliefs or considering that person to be a person.  In today’s society, people get so wrapped up in being “righteous” or “politically correct” that we don’t even stop to think if what we say, post, and do is humanly correct. This ad does a great job of illustrating that as well as illustrating why and w...

Week 3 Post: Lexus Locks Themselves Into The Future

NX Sustain "Future Proof" | Lexus   This commercial is my pick for my week three blog post. I think it connects to both chapters 5 and 6 well. This ad features a man driving his Lexus as futuristic technology that is believed to be the future, fails to due its basic operations. In one scene a robot delivery service is stuck in a pothole and in another scene, a robot crashes into a street light, both of which cause traffic jams and problems for the other drivers but not the man driving his Lexus thanks to the Lexus’s good mix technological advancements and a human in control over the technology. This ad does a good job connecting with the members of society, like myself, who think that technology is evolving into a scary Terminator-like reality where robots and technology will have too much pull and control over humans while also showcasing the product in a way that tech lovers could appreciate.  In Chapters 5 and 6, we learn about the importance of vendors and th...
